Glorious olives
A visit to Morning View Olive Estate
Nestled in the rolling hills of the Overberg lies the farm Morning View, situated 8 km from Caledon and
28km from Hermanus. Morning View farm has been in the de la Harpe family since the end of the 19th
century. The homestead, which reflects the Georgian-Victorian architectural style was built in 1914. Here,
where the sandy nature of the soil ensures the drainage so necessary for olive tree growth, the Mission,
Frantoio and Favalosa olives have been intensively cultivated on Morning View Olive Estate since 2003.
