Make your own ottoman
There is always a need for a very
useful, multifunctional piece of
furniture, and this ottoman will be
the perfect accompaniment to any
living room or children's bedroom.
It is a relatively easy project that will
take approximately one weekend to
complete and cost R1200.

You will need an old tyre,
12mm MDF cut into two
circles (60cm in diameter),
10 screws (8 x 60mm), a
drill, approximately 9 tubes
of clear silicon, and about
100m of 12mm thick
natural sisal twisted cord.
Before starting with the
project make sure the tyre
is clean from any dust and
