The mixed romantic border gives any garden
that country feel, but there is so much more to
it than just that. Ask any landscape designer
and they will always say, I love it, but it is not an
easy look to pul off. Well, 1 year ago, I started
experimenting in my own garden, and truth be
told, I was terrified in the beginning. Plants
moved back and forth on a monthly basis
sometimes even weekly, and I was relatively
uncertain if it would all come together
especial y when the plants were small. I was
determined to create some sort of Pretoria
Fynbos look, so I persevered, tempted to rip it
al out, and do the typical stiffer French style
garden, with every plant I bought. But now,
after a year's worth of gardening with Ghandi-
like patience, I can now share with Virere
readers the wonderful experience.
