The Grand Living was established in 2010 by
Andre Geldenhuys and Willem Strauss, and has
been trading ever since from their showroom in
Lanseria. In March 2015 they expanded their
horizons and opened another store in Parys. The
Grand Living is a retail establishment catering for
the public and interior decorators. They also
manufacture bespoke items to suit any design or
spatial requirements, as well as offer professional
interior design and landscaping services.
Andre, while having a PhD in Chemical
Engineering, decided to follow his passion for
landscape design, and now manages the business
as well as heads many of the interior and
landscaping projects. Willem, being a Chartered
Accountant, manages the business from his
current residence in Singapore. Rene Prinsloo,
sales manager for The Grand Living, has been in
the retail industry for over 16 years and manages
the shop with great experience. Danielle James is
the newest member of this little team and is their
qualified professional interior designer, having a
degree in Interior Architecture from the
University of Pretoria. Together, the team
gathers their knowledge and experience to form
a company that is able to give their clients a turn-
key service encompassing many aspects of
furniture, interior and landscape design.
The Grand Living has a wide array of furnishings,
accessories and artwork to suit a variety of styles.
In addition, 90% of the timber, steel and
upholstered furniture is locally manufactured
and only timber from SFI and/or FSC controlled
forests is used. From couches, dining tables and
chairs, to carpets, lighting and outdoor furniture;
The Grand Living has everything a client needs to
finish and dress a room, house or business.
