The industrial style, as we know it today,
was born from factory spaces that were
built purely for their functionality. The
building, electrical and plumbing systems
in factories were often left exposed as
there was little need to hide the building's
structural elements. Today this style is
centred on reused and reinvented pieces,
celebrating the use of raw materials, like
concrete, stone and steel.
In this edition we feature an industrial,
edgy home that places huge importance
on its structure, materials and utilities
becoming features and using reclaimed
and repurposed items throughout the
home. This house proudly displays building
materials and adds raw, unfinished looks to
the most thoughtfully designed home and
selecting pieces that are as much about
function as style.
