A creative family of five live in this
house situated in the quite Eldo Glenn
Estate in Centurion. The Wood family
designed the house with the aim of
easy family living. Built around a
central open courtyard axis, this
modern space arrangement, allows the
different areas of the house to connect
and flow seamlessly with each other. A
single olive tree has been planted in
the centre of the courtyard.
Floor to ceiling glass sliding doors
surrond the courtyard maximizing the
visual effect of the space and allowing
the tree to act as a living piece of art
work. Every room inside overlooking
this interior outdoor space is flooded
with natural light from the courtyard.
The introverted views created, adds
not only interest, but an extra
dimension
and
edge
to
the
arrangement of this house.
