Plants that work
Many years ago when I was still "green" at
gardening, a wise gardener once observed
about my garden: ".... it is very green..."
After many years of gardening, I now
realise that it was much more of a gentle
innuendo
for
more
variety
and
experimentation than the compliment for
lushness I had interpreted it to be! In the
next three issues I will be sharing my
acquired knowledge about plants with
exquisite leaf colour to bring variety, drama
and contrast to your garden.
In South Africa, where we need to focus on
more water wise planting we have an
extensive indigenous grey Pallet to paint
our landscapes beautiful. As a general rule
most grey foliage plants are sun seekers
that are quite hardy once established. An
ucaa
added bonus is that many of these are also
gl
strong architectural or form plants.
