purple glory bush or princes flower, this large shrub or
smal tree bears royal purple flowers of 75 mm acros .

As structural backbone or screening, any of the reliable
Viburnum varieties wil add splashes of spring flowers
and season long greenery. My personal favourite is
Viburnum opulus 'Roseum' or Guelder-rose. From mid-
September I excitedly await the lime green snow bal s
to burst forth! Equal y beautiful are the lacy flowers of
Viburnum plicatum, or Japanese snowbal . Both of
these wil be beautiful y complimented by Hydrangeas.
If you are looking for an alternative for full shade,
Makaya bella, is highly recommended. This indigenous
Foxglove
beauty with its glos y green leaves is nothing but sheer
joy during spring and early summer.
