1990's Customization
Digital technologies changed the way we live, and on the
forefront was the Nokia Phone Company. Though
cellular phones were already gaining popularity, Nokia
realized that the technology was cumbersome, had
inherent flaws like charging and no reception. Hence It
was thought that if customers had a personal relationship
to products these flaws can be overlooked. And so the
era of personalizing started with interchangeable covers
and customizable ring tones. This has changed the
relationship people have with stuf .
